Dad's Best Hummus

My mother showed love to people through preparing and serving delicious food. She taught me that a great recipe, made with love, brings joy. As a young man, I opened a restaurant in Baton Rouge, Louisiana called Cafe La Rue. I worked hard to develop my hummus dip recipe and it was the most popular item on the menu. Even though I eventually sold the restaurant, I continued to make hummus for friends and family. My three sons have always said, "Dad you make the Best Hummus in America." The youngest recently went to several countries in Europe, including Greece, and returned to tell me that they were wrong. I did not make the best Hummus in America, but he now believes I make the best hummus in the world! Throughout the years friends who tasted my hummus would ask if they could buy it. I would simply say, "One day." Well, I have just retired and I'm excited to say that my dream of making delicious hummus for people "one day" is now today!
